Hey there, momma! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm so excited you are looking into doula care. I did not look into hiring a doula until my 3rd birth, which was my husband's 5th as I have 2 bonus babies. For both of us, it was our first birth to see and feel how birth should actually be. It should feel like a big deal, not just another day. It should feel personalized, not like an assembly line. You should feel educated, prepared, supported, and loved. I've never felt those things more than when I was unmedicated, in the transition stage of labor with my 9 pound, 13 ounce baby, and I had my doula on one side and my husband on the other. I want that for you momma! Not necessarily the unmedicated, nearly 10 pound baby part, but definitely the loved and supported part! No matter what your birth goals are and no matter what curve balls are thrown your way, I'd love to help you get that.
